Joining Hawkins Companies in 2007, April came equipped with office and business management skills in accounts payable, payroll, employee management and customer service. Starting as an assistant with Hawkins Companies she was able to cross train in several departments eventually finding her home and passion in the Human Resources department. April has been instrumental in implementing a corporate wellness program that has grown in its popularity each year. This includes biometric screening, flu shots, 5 week health challenge, educational speakers and a vending fridge full of health food options. April is the primary management and employee liaison and always has a pulse on the day to day culture that Hawkins Companies is known for amongst past and present employees.
