After building an 111,251 square feet center on 10.61 acres that included three phases and crossed over Clackamas Street with a Sportsman’s Warehouse and Pizza Schmizza on one side of the street and Walgreens, Lamps Plus, Bank of America, CompUSA and Retail on the other, Hawkins Companies applied for permanent financing under the New Market Tax Credit Program. Offered by Key Community Development New Markets LLC, this program is accessible to projects that are constituted as a Qualified Low-Income Community Investment. In doing so, Hawkins Companies obtained financing at an incredibly low interest rate of 3.29%, making this a finacialy successful project.
