I must admit, that when my wife told me that Hawkins Companies was donating volunteer time and money to Idaho Foodbank’s Backpack Program, I’d never heard of it.

For two years running, Hawkins Companies has made a hands on volunteer effort to help Idaho children. Statewide 467 volunteers builders have filled backpacks for 1883 children across 171 schools. 63,927 Backpacks have been distributed statewide, and Hawkins volunteers were proudly a part of that.

It takes a real effort in our busy, modern world to stop and listen for every voice. Little voices can often be even harder to hear. It is with that understanding that I now pass these children’s message to you. Please spread the word to friends and coworkers about the positive help this program provides for Idaho school children.
