The town of Gilbert is a story of growth. In 1970, this small agriculture-based community located in central Arizona had a population of less than two thousand people. Today, the population has grown to over a hundred times that and has become an economically diverse community. This flourishing community deserved a quality education for their children. Hawkins Companies, in a joint venture with The Charter School Fund and a partnership with Legacy Traditional School, satisfied this need. The 79,125 square foot charter school with state-of-the-art classrooms for kindergarten through middle school is situated in the master planned development of Cooley Station. The Legacy Traditional School campus in Gilbert was voted as the #1 charter school in Arizona by Ranking Arizona and was named one of the valley’s most beautiful schools by the Arizona Republic.
